Responsibility
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions and material requirements.
- Operate and maintain sheet metal fabrication equipment, including shears, presses, and CNC machines.
- Measure, mark, and cut sheet metal materials using precision tools and techniques.
- Assemble, fit, and install sheet metal products, ensuring alignment and structural integrity.
- Perform quality inspections on finished products to verify compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Weld, rivet, or bolt components together as required by design specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and production goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Technician or in a similar role within manufacturing or construction.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques, tools, and machinery.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments with precision.
- Familiarity with welding techniques (MIG, TIG, or arc welding) is a plus.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle materials and operate machinery safely.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety standards and OSHA regulations.
