Responsibility
- Operate and maintain CNC machines (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders) to produce precision components according to engineering specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM programs to set up and adjust machine parameters.
- Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to ensure parts meet tolerance requirements.
- Troubleshoot machine issues, perform routine maintenance, and replace worn tools or parts as needed.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace in compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
- Document production data, including machine settings, inspection results, and any deviations from specifications.
- Assist in training junior machinists and provide technical guidance to team members when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a CNC Machinist or in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAD/CAM software.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machine operations, including setup, programming (G-code/M-code), and tooling adjustments.
- Ability to use precision measurement tools and perform in-process quality inspections.
- Familiarity with various materials (e.g., metals, plastics, composites) and their machining characteristics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure high-precision output.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy materials (up to 20 kg).
- Certification in CNC machining or a related technical field is a plus.
