Responsibility
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso, pour-over, and specialty drinks, adhering to high-quality standards.
- Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and cleanliness.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing inquiries or special requests.
- Educate customers on menu offerings, including coffee origins, brewing methods, and pairing suggestions.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies, and restock as needed.
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene protocols to maintain a clean and sanitary workspace.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours and special events.
- Stay updated on coffee trends, techniques, and industry best practices to enhance your skills.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar role within the hospitality industry (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation methods, including espresso extraction, milk steaming, and latte art.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse customer base.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of POS systems and cash handling procedures.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Passion for coffee and a commitment to delivering a memorable customer experience.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin) are a plus.
