Responsibility
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with resort standards and guest expectations.
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and kitchen operations.
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with local regulations.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Manage inventory, control food costs, and minimize waste through efficient kitchen practices.
- Ensure timely preparation and presentation of dishes during peak service hours.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to deliver seamless dining experiences.
- Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate innovative techniques into the menu.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef de Partie, Demi Chef, or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
- Culinary degree or certification from a recognized institution (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Asian and international cuisines, with a passion for Malaysian flavors.
- Excellent knife skills, time management, and ability to work under pressure.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for presentation and detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Valid work permit or eligibility for visa sponsorship in Indonesia.
