Responsibility
- Prepare and bake a variety of high-quality pastries, breads, and desserts according to Beard Papa’s recipes and standards.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, ensuring timely restocking.
- Follow strict food safety and hygiene protocols to comply with local and company regulations.
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment, including ovens, mixers, and proofers, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
- Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes or improve existing ones to meet customer preferences.
- Train and supervise junior bakers or kitchen staff to ensure consistency in product quality and workflow efficiency.
- Manage production schedules to meet daily demand while minimizing waste.
- Conduct quality checks on all baked goods before they are served to customers.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef, or in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume bakery or restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient measurements, and food safety standards.
- Ability to read and follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency in large-scale production.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy ingredients, and work in a warm kitchen environment.
- Creative mindset with a passion for baking and a keen eye for detail.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and cost control.
- Familiarity with HACCP or other food safety certifications is a plus.
