Responsibility
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts according to standardized recipes and special orders.
- Measure and mix ingredients, operate baking equipment, and ensure consistent quality in every batch.
- Decorate and present baked goods attractively, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, and assist in ordering as needed.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new recipes and seasonal specialties.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train and supervise junior staff or apprentices in baking techniques and best practices.
- Stay updated on baking trends, techniques, and customer preferences to enhance product offerings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef, or in a similar role (minimum 2 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient properties, and food safety standards.
- Creative mindset with the ability to design and decorate visually appealing pastries.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow recipes precisely.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy ingredients (up to 25 kg).
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Certification in culinary arts, baking, or a related field is a plus.
- Familiarity with Indonesian or international baking styles is an advantage.
