Responsibility
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicle electrical systems, including wiring, batteries, alternators, and starters.
- Install and test new electrical components such as lighting systems, alarms, and GPS tracking devices.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and service manuals to identify issues accurately.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure vehicle electrical systems operate efficiently.
- Use diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes) to troubleshoot electrical faults and malfunctions.
- Collaborate with mechanics and other technicians to resolve complex electrical and mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs, services, and parts used for each vehicle.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in automotive electrical technology and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as an Auto Electrician or in a similar role.
- Certification or vocational training in automotive electrical systems (e.g., ASE certification or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, including 12V and 24V systems, CAN bus, and multiplexing.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to work in various positions (e.g., bending, kneeling) and lift heavy components.
- Valid driverâs license and clean driving record (preferred).
