Responsibility
- Conduct daily site inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations and company policies.
- Develop and implement safety protocols and emergency response plans.
- Provide safety training and orientations for new and existing employees.
- Investigate accidents, near-misses, and incidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety measures into project planning.
- Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce safety gear compliance.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction safety or a related field.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and influence staff.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop actionable safety plans.
- Proficient in documenting safety procedures and maintaining compliance records.
- Physical ability to perform site inspections and work in various environmental conditions.
- Familiarity with construction processes and equipment is a plus.
