Responsibility
- Monitor and manage all project costs, including labor, materials, and subcontractor expenses, to ensure adherence to budget.
- Prepare and verify accurate measurements, bills of quantities (BOQ), and cost estimates for tenders and variations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to track progress, identify cost risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to align financial planning with project milestones.
- Prepare and submit monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and final accounts for stakeholders.
- Assess and process contractor claims, variations, and payment certifications in compliance with contractual terms.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure cost-effective deals without compromising quality.
- Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions, contracts, and project documentation for auditing purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction, preferably in site-based roles.
- Proficient in cost estimation software (e.g., Candy, WinQS, or Primavera) and MS Excel for financial modeling.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, BOQ preparation, and FIDIC standards.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings to extract quantities accurately.
- Familiarity with Indonesian construction regulations and local market rates is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.
