Responsibility
- Coordinate vessel charters and manage shipping schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Negotiate and finalize charter agreements with vessel owners and brokers.
- Monitor vessel performance, fuel consumption, and operational costs to optimize efficiency.
- Liaise with port authorities, agents, and customs officials to facilitate smooth operations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including bills of lading, cargo manifests, and voyage reports.
- Resolve operational issues and delays in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Track market trends and vessel availability to secure the best charter rates.
- Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping operations, vessel chartering, or maritime logistics.
- Strong understanding of charter party agreements and maritime law.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with port operations, customs procedures, and international trade regulations.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
