Responsibility
- Coordinate and manage bookings with shipping lines or agents based on shipment schedules and customer requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely communication of ETS (Estimated Time of Shipment) and ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) to stakeholders.
- Monitor and track shipments from origin to destination, resolving any delays or discrepancies proactively.
- Liaise with customs, freight forwarders, and internal teams to facilitate smooth clearance and delivery processes.
- Maintain and update shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and packing lists.
- Optimize shipping routes and methods to reduce costs while maintaining service quality.
- Prepare and present reports on shipping performance, including metrics on timeliness, cost, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to align shipping schedules with inventory and production plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding, preferably in the manufacturing or FMCG sector.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Incoterms and experience handling bulk or containerized shipments is advantageous.
