As a Shipping Executive, you will oversee the end-to-end shipping process, liaise with carriers, and ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service. Responsibility
- Coordinate and manage daily shipping operations, including domestic and international freight.
- Liaise with carriers, customs brokers, and warehouse teams to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, invoices, packing lists) for compliance with local and international regulations.
- Negotiate freight rates and contracts with shipping providers to optimize costs and service levels.
- Track shipments in real-time, resolve delays, and communicate updates to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Generate reports on shipping performance, costs, and efficiency metrics for management review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding, preferably in manufacturing or transport industries.
- Strong knowledge of incoterms, customs regulations, and shipping documentation.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., ERP, TMS) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
