Responsibility
- Coordinate and manage import and export freight operations, ensuring compliance with international regulations.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs declarations.
- Arrange necessary permits and licenses for freight movements, liaising with government agencies and customs authorities.
- Monitor shipping schedules and track cargo movements to ensure timely delivery and minimize delays.
- Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, and clients to optimize shipping routes and reduce costs.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking numbers, delivery statuses, and financial transactions.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to freight shipments, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Provide regular reports on shipping activities, performance metrics, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics operations.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using logistics software and tools for tracking, documentation, and reporting.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, carriers, and government agencies.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance in all shipping-related activities.
