Responsibility
- Monitor and track inventory movements using advanced ERP or WMS systems to ensure real-time accuracy.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts, cycle counts, and audits to reconcile discrepancies between system records and actual inventory.
- Investigate and resolve inventory variances by analyzing root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to optimize stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
- Generate and present detailed inventory reports, including turnover ratios, stock aging, and demand forecasts, to senior management.
- Develop and maintain standardized inventory control procedures, SOPs, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to verify inbound shipments, inspect goods for quality, and update inventory records accordingly.
- Utilize data analytics tools to identify trends, forecast demand, and recommend process improvements for inventory efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) are a plus.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role within manufacturing, logistics, or retail sectors.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Fishbowl) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data validation).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and auditors.
- Knowledge of lean inventory principles, Just-in-Time (JIT), or Six Sigma methodologies is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic workplace.
