As a Shipping Coordinator, you’ll oversee the end-to-end shipping process, from order fulfillment to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of goods. Your expertise will help streamline operations, reduce delays, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Responsibility
- Coordinate and monitor all shipping activities, including domestic and international freight.
- Liaise with carriers, vendors, and customs brokers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and export/import paperwork.
- Track shipments in real-time and provide updates to stakeholders on delivery statuses.
- Optimize shipping routes and methods to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Resolve any shipping discrepancies, delays, or issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments, inventory, and logistics expenses.
- Collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain coordination.
- Strong knowledge of shipping regulations, customs procedures, and international trade compliance.
- Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with vendors and clients.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to resolving logistics challenges.
- Familiarity with Incoterms, freight forwarding, and inventory management is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
