Responsibility
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs declarations, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
- Coordinate with local drivers and third-party logistics providers to schedule pickups, deliveries, and route optimizations.
- Track shipments in real-time using advanced logistics software and provide updates to stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and delivery confirmations in the company’s ERP system.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies, delays, or issues by liaising with carriers, customers, and internal teams.
- Assist in negotiating freight rates and service agreements with vendors to optimize cost efficiency.
- Generate reports on shipping metrics, including transit times, costs, and performance indicators.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying bottlenecks and proposing process enhancements.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping coordination, logistics, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
- Familiarity with customs regulations, incoterms, and international shipping protocols is a plus.
- Problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
