Responsibility
- Oversee daily production operations at the palm oil crushing plant, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
- Monitor and optimize production processes to maximize output, minimize waste, and reduce operational costs.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment, scheduling preventive maintenance and coordinating repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure compliance with industry regulations and Cargill’s internal standards.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Train and mentor production staff on best practices, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean or Six Sigma projects, to enhance plant performance.
- Ensure environmental and sustainability guidelines are followed in all production activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in production engineering, preferably in the food, oil processing, or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, machinery, and automation systems in an industrial setting.
- Proficient in using data analysis tools and manufacturing software (e.g., SAP, MES).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure.
- Familiarity with safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO) and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, HACCP).
- Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Willingness to work in shifts and adapt to the demands of a 24/7 production environment.
