Responsibility
- Lead and supervise a team of operations technicians during assigned shifts, ensuring adherence to safety, security, and operational protocols.
- Monitor and maintain critical infrastructure systems, including power, cooling, networking, and security, to guarantee 99.99% uptime.
- Conduct regular inspections, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Oversee the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities to optimize system performance and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, TIA-942) and company policies for data center operations.
- Manage incident response, including escalation procedures, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation of operational activities, incidents, and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support capacity planning, upgrades, and new deployments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data center operations, critical infrastructure management, or a similar role.
- Proven leadership skills with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead position.
- Strong technical knowledge of power distribution, HVAC systems, UPS, generators, and network infrastructure.
- Certifications such as CDCP (Certified Data Centre Professional), CDCS (Certified Data Centre Specialist), or equivalent are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Familiarity with BMS (Building Management Systems), DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management), and monitoring tools.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
