Responsibility
- Define and document Field Replaceable Units (FRUs) for new and existing products, ensuring optimal serviceability and cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and service teams to integrate serviceability requirements into product design.
- Conduct failure mode analysis to identify potential serviceability issues and propose mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain service manuals, parts catalogs, and diagnostic tools for technicians and end-users.
- Evaluate and recommend materials, components, and assembly methods to improve product durability and ease of repair.
- Monitor field performance data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement in serviceability.
- Provide technical support to global service teams and customers for complex serviceability-related inquiries.
- Stay updated on industry standards and emerging technologies in hardware design and serviceability best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in product design, serviceability engineering, or a similar role, preferably in the printing, electronics, or hardware industry.
- Strong knowledge of DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and serviceability assessment methodologies.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work in a global, cross-functional team.
- Experience with technical writing for service manuals, parts lists, or training materials.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Willingness to relocate to Badung, Bali or work in a hybrid setup.
