As the Duty Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of all engineering systems, facilities, and infrastructure across our premium properties. Based in one of Bali’s most dynamic regions—home to iconic destinations like Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, and Kuta—you’ll work in a vibrant, multicultural team while contributing to the legacy of a brand synonymous with luxury and hospitality.
Responsibility
- Oversee and manage all engineering operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineering staff, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and facilities.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Housekeeping, F&B, Front Office) to address maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
- Develop and implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainable practices to reduce operational costs and environmental impact.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective procurement of engineering supplies and services.
- Respond to emergency situations (e.g., power outages, equipment failures) with swift, effective solutions to minimize disruption to guests and operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory, and budget expenditures for reporting and auditing purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Certification in facility management or hospitality engineering is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality, resort, or luxury property management industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and building automation.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to maintenance and risk management.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in Indonesian (Bahasa) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and budgeting tools.
