Responsibility
- Assist in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of ship engines, propulsion systems, and auxiliary machinery.
- Monitor and log performance metrics of mechanical and electrical systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Support senior engineers in troubleshooting technical issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Conduct routine checks on fuel, lubrication, and cooling systems to prevent failures.
- Assist in emergency response procedures for engine or system malfunctions at sea.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and service records for compliance and audits.
- Participate in safety drills and adhere to maritime regulations and company protocols.
- Collaborate with the deck crew to ensure seamless coordination between engineering and operational teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in marine, mechanical, or industrial engineering (internships or apprenticeships accepted).
- Basic knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical circuits.
- Familiarity with maritime safety standards (STCW certification is a plus).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and adapt to shift schedules.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to relocate to Badung, Bali and travel as required.
