Responsibility
- Provide exceptional customer service with a warm, professional, and attentive approach, adhering to Japanese hospitality standards.
- Take and process orders accurately, including special requests and dietary restrictions, using POS systems.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring presentation and timing meet the restaurant’s high standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting dining area, including table setup, replenishing utensils, and bussing tables.
- Assist with opening/closing duties, such as restocking supplies, preparing condiments, and cashier reconciliation.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and timely service delivery.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Uphold food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with local regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a restaurant, café, or hospitality role (preferably in Japanese or fine dining).
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); basic Japanese language skills are a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and stay composed under pressure.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
- Neat, professional appearance with adherence to the restaurant’s dress code and grooming standards.
- Basic knowledge of Japanese cuisine and dining etiquette is advantageous.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the company.
