Responsibility

  • Conduct comprehensive sensory evaluations (taste, smell, texture, appearance) of products to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop and implement sensory testing methodologies, including descriptive analysis and consumer panels.
  • Collaborate with R&D and production teams to refine product formulations based on sensory feedback.
  • Document and analyze sensory data, providing actionable insights and recommendations for product improvements.
  • Train and calibrate sensory panelists to ensure consistency and accuracy in evaluations.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor products to benchmark sensory performance.
  • Prepare detailed reports on sensory findings and present them to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality protocols and regulatory sensory standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Sensory Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sensory evaluation, quality assurance, or a similar role, preferably in the food, beverage, or cosmetics industry.
  • Strong understanding of sensory analysis techniques and statistical tools (e.g., ANOVA, PCA).
  • Excellent palate and ability to detect subtle differences in sensory attributes.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with experience using sensory software (e.g., Compusense, EyeQuestion).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian is a plus.
