As a key member of our engineering team, you will lead defect analysis initiatives, identify root causes of yield loss, and implement corrective actions to optimize production processes. Responsibility
- Perform in-depth data analysis on defect scan data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies affecting yield performance.
- Develop and implement defect classification systems to improve accuracy in root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (process, equipment, and quality engineers) to troubleshoot and resolve yield-related issues.
- Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance defect detection, reduction, and prevention strategies.
- Monitor and maintain defect inspection tools and methodologies to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct failure mode analysis (FMA) and propose corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support shift operations with on-call responsibilities for critical defect investigations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, with a focus on yield enhancement or defect analysis.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, JMP, Excel) and statistical process control (SPC).
- Hands-on experience with defect inspection tools (e.g., KLA, ASML, Hitachi) and metrology equipment.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes (e.g., lithography, etch, deposition).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a track record of driving yield improvements.
- Ability to work in shift-based environments and respond to urgent production issues.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
