Responsibility
- Review and process zoning permit applications, ensuring compliance with local, regional, and national regulations.
- Conduct on-site inspections to verify adherence to approved land-use plans, building codes, and environmental standards.
- Provide expert guidance to developers, architects, and property owners on zoning laws, restrictions, and variances.
- Investigate and resolve zoning violations, issuing notices, fines, or corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with government agencies, municipal teams, and community stakeholders to align development projects with public interest.
- Prepare and present reports, recommendations, and zoning analyses for public hearings and administrative reviews.
- Maintain accurate records of permits, inspections, violations, and enforcement actions using digital and physical filing systems.
- Stay updated on changes in zoning ordinances, land-use policies, and sustainable development best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in zoning, land-use regulation, or municipal planning, preferably in a government or private sector role.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian zoning laws, building codes, and environmental regulations, particularly in Bali or similar regions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex zoning maps, legal documents, and development plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders, including government officials, developers, and the public.
- Proficiency in GIS software, CAD tools, and Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English and Indonesian; additional local dialects (e.g., Balinese) are advantageous.
