Responsibility
- Lead and mentor a high-performing Global Trade Solutions sales team to achieve revenue targets and business growth objectives.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand HSBC’s Trade Finance portfolio in Southeast Asia, focusing on corporate and institutional clients.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, understanding their trade finance needs and delivering tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Risk, Compliance, and Product Development, to ensure seamless delivery of trade finance services.
- Identify and capitalize on market trends and opportunities in global trade, including supply chain financing, letters of credit, and trade loans.
- Drive client acquisition and retention through proactive engagement, presentations, and negotiations.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, pipeline growth, and revenue forecasts to senior management.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices in trade finance to ensure compliance and competitive advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in Trade Finance, Corporate Banking, or Sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing high-value client portfolios in the financial services sector.
- Deep understanding of trade finance products, including letters of credit, guarantees, supply chain financing, and trade loans.
- Strong relationship management and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage C-level executives and decision-makers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English; additional Asian languages are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop strategic sales initiatives.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in global trade finance.
