Responsibility
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a long-term vision for GIC’s network engineering and data center infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business goals and technological advancements.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and expand a global team of network engineers, data center specialists, and IT professionals to deliver high-availability, low-latency solutions.
- Infrastructure Modernization: Drive the adoption of next-generation technologies, including SD-WAN, hybrid cloud, and edge computing, to enhance performance and reduce operational costs.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure all network and data center operations adhere to global security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2) and regulatory requirements.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and service providers to negotiate contracts, SLAs, and partnerships that support GIC’s objectives.
- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Design and implement robust DR/BC plans to minimize downtime and ensure resilience across all critical systems.
- Budget & Resource Allocation: Oversee the financial planning and resource allocation for network and data center projects, optimizing ROI and efficiency.
- Innovation & R&D: Stay ahead of industry trends by evaluating emerging technologies (e.g., AI-driven network optimization, quantum computing) and piloting innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., CCIE, CCNP, ITIL, PMP) are a plus.
- Experience: 15+ years in network engineering, data center management, or IT infrastructure, with at least 8 years in a senior leadership role.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of enterprise networking (Cisco, Juniper, Arista), data center architectures (on-prem, cloud, hybrid), and protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN).
- Cloud & Automation: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible), and network automation tools.
- Security Acumen: Proven ability to design and implement secure network solutions, including zero-trust models, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams, with a focus on collaboration, agility, and results-driven execution.
- Communication: Strong executive presence and ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Global Mindset: Experience working in a multicultural, distributed environment with a focus on APAC or global markets.
