Responsibility
- Design, implement, and maintain high-availability Unix/Linux server environments for enterprise clients
- Develop and optimize automation scripts (Bash, Python, Perl) for system administration tasks
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions
- Manage configuration and deployment of Linux servers in cloud and on-premise environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployments and infrastructure upgrades
- Ensure system security through patch management, access controls, and compliance monitoring
- Create and maintain documentation for system architectures, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Unix/Linux Systems Engineer or similar role
- Expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, or Ubuntu server administration
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Perl for automation tasks
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies
- Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls) and security best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Relevant certifications (RHCE, LPIC, AWS Certified SysOps) are a plus
