Responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of Unified Communications (UC) projects, including VoIP, video conferencing, and instant messaging solutions across APAC.
- Design, configure, and optimize Cisco UC, Microsoft Teams, and hybrid cloud telephony systems to meet business needs.
- Troubleshoot complex L3-level UC issues, ensuring 99.9% uptime and minimal latency for global users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate UC platforms with CRM, ERP, and collaboration tools.
- Develop and enforce security best practices for UC infrastructure, including encryption, access controls, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Monitor performance metrics and proactively identify opportunities for scalability and cost optimization.
- Provide technical mentorship to L1/L2 support teams and conduct training sessions for end-users.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in AI-driven communication, WebRTC, and SD-WAN to future-proof our UC ecosystem.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Unified Communications engineering, with a focus on enterprise-scale deployments.
- Expertise in Cisco UC (CUCM, Unity Connection, Webex) and/or Microsoft Teams Direct Routing, SBCs.
- Strong knowledge of SIP, H.323, QoS, and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Certifications such as CCNP Collaboration, Microsoft Certified: Teams Voice Engineer, or equivalent are a plus.
- Experience with cloud UC platforms (e.g., Zoom Phone, RingCentral, 8x8) and hybrid architectures.
- Proven ability to script/automate UC tasks using Python, PowerShell, or Ansible.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a global environment.
- Fluency in English; additional APAC languages (e.g., Mandarin, Bahasa) are advantageous.
