Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless networks to support business operations across multiple locations.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Configure and manage firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.).
- Lead network security initiatives, including vulnerability assessments, patch management, and compliance with industry standards (ISO 27001, NIST).
- Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud teams to integrate hybrid cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) solutions.
- Provide Level 3 support for network-related incidents and outages, ensuring rapid resolution.
- Document network topologies, configurations, and procedures for knowledge sharing and audits.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies (SD-WAN, SASE, Zero Trust) to enhance infrastructure resilience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering and administration.
- Proficiency in Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Juniper JNCIA, or equivalent certifications is highly preferred.
- Deep expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching (VLAN, STP, MPLS), and network security (IPsec, ACLs, IDS/IPS).
- Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Wireshark).
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS Direct Connect, Azure Virtual Network, GCP Interconnect).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment.
