Responsibility
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trucks to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in trucks, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on each vehicle.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance and repair activities.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair tasks.
- Provide guidance and training to junior mechanics and apprentices as needed.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in truck mechanics and apply best practices in all tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Truck Mechanic or similar role, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of truck mechanics, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Certification from a recognized automotive or diesel mechanic program is a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
