Responsibility
- Design and deliver customized travel itineraries for corporate and luxury clients, ensuring alignment with their preferences, budgets, and logistical needs.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, vendors (hotels, airlines, tour operators), and partners to secure exclusive deals and enhancements.
- Provide expert advice on visa requirements, travel insurance, health/safety protocols, and destination-specific regulations.
- Negotiate contracts and rates with suppliers to maximize value while upholding service excellence and profitability.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging destinations, and travel technologies to offer innovative solutions.
- Handle complex bookings, last-minute changes, and crisis management (e.g., flight disruptions) with professionalism and efficiency.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional packages and loyalty programs for repeat clients.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, proposals, and post-trip reports to demonstrate ROI and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Travel Consultant in a brick-and-mortar travel agency (online agencies excluded).
- Proven expertise in luxury, corporate, or MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) travel planning.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of meeting/exceeding targets.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese) are a plus.
- Proficiency in GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo) and CRM tools.
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a client-first mindset.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or related fields preferred.
