Responsibility
- Oversee and coordinate daily transshipment activities, including cargo consolidation, deconsolidation, and transfer between vessels.
- Liaise with shipping lines, port authorities, customs, and internal teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and operational requirements.
- Monitor cargo movement in real-time, resolving delays or discrepancies to maintain schedule integrity.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize transit times.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, manifests, customs declarations) with 100% accuracy.
- Negotiate with carriers and service providers to secure competitive rates and service agreements.
- Generate performance reports and KPIs for management review, identifying trends and areas for optimization.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address client inquiries and ensure service delivery meets expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in transshipment, freight forwarding, or maritime logistics, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
- In-depth knowledge of incoterms, customs regulations, and port operations in Indonesia or Southeast Asia.
- Proficient in logistics software (e.g., CargoWise, Navis, or SAP TM) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, IMO regulations, and dangerous goods handling is advantageous.
