Responsibility
- Oversee and manage end-to-end customs brokerage and freight forwarding operations to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize workflows, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
- Ensure adherence to local and international customs regulations, ITC requirements, and import/export documentation standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and customs authorities to resolve operational bottlenecks and expedite shipments.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead, mentor, and train operations staff to maintain high standards of productivity and professionalism.
- Negotiate contracts and rates with vendors, carriers, and service providers to secure cost-effective solutions.
- Stay updated on changes in customs laws, trade policies, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and competitive advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or logistics operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and ITC compliance in Indonesia and international markets.
- Proven track record of managing teams, optimizing processes, and delivering measurable operational improvements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
