Responsibility
- Develop and validate traffic and transportation models using industry-standard software (e.g., VISSIM, AIMSUN, MATSim, or Synchro).
- Conduct traffic impact assessments and feasibility studies for new infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, and public transit systems.
- Collaborate with urban planners, civil engineers, and government stakeholders to design sustainable mobility solutions tailored to Bali’s unique geographic and demographic needs.
- Analyze traffic data, travel patterns, and demand forecasts to optimize network performance and reduce congestion.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and decision-makers.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies in smart mobility, such as connected/autonomous vehicles and intelligent transport systems (ITS).
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines in all modeling and design work.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in traffic and transportation modeling, with a proven track record in infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in traffic simulation software (e.g., VISSIM, AIMSUN, CUBE, or similar) and GIS tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Experience working with government agencies, consultants, or international organizations on large-scale projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English (written and verbal).
- Knowledge of Indonesian traffic regulations and standards is a plus.
- Certification in traffic engineering or transportation planning (e.g., PTOE, PE) is highly desirable.
