Responsibility
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on airport screening systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues in screening equipment, including X-ray machines, metal detectors, and explosive detection systems.
- Complete all assigned maintenance service requests within established timelines and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to schedule and execute maintenance activities without disrupting airport operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and system performance for compliance and auditing purposes.
- Conduct regular inspections and calibration of screening systems to meet aviation security standards.
- Provide technical support and training to airport staff on the proper use and basic troubleshooting of screening equipment.
- Recommend system upgrades or replacements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in maintaining and repairing electronic or mechanical systems, preferably in an airport or industrial setting.
- Strong technical knowledge of screening systems, sensors, or automation equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure in a high-stakes environment.
- Familiarity with aviation security standards (ICAO, IATA) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
