Responsibility
- Oversee and execute trade affirmation, capture, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and timeliness of transactions.
- Manage settlement processes, including cashflow monitoring, fail resolution, and client reporting.
- Coordinate with brokers, custodians, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and streamline operations.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk.
- Monitor listed trade operations, including exchange-traded derivatives and equities, ensuring compliance with market regulations.
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports on trade activities, settlements, and cash positions.
- Collaborate with IT and compliance teams to maintain robust control frameworks and system integrity.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in trade operations, settlement, or middle-office functions within asset management, investment banking, or financial services.
- In-depth knowledge of trade lifecycle management, including affirmation, settlement, and reconciliation processes.
- Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, or proprietary trading platforms) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
- Familiarity with global financial markets, regulatory requirements (e.g., Dodd-Frank, MiFID II), and risk management practices.
- Experience with listed derivatives, equities, or fixed income products is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a benefit.
