As a key member of our pre-construction team, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing tender documents, preparing competitive bids, and ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of quality. Responsibility
- Analyze and interpret tender documents, drawings, and specifications to identify project requirements and potential risks.
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender submissions.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to define project scope, materials, and labor requirements.
- Conduct market research to source cost-effective materials and subcontractors while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Develop and present tender strategies, including value engineering proposals to optimize project costs.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Review and finalize contract documents, ensuring alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
- Monitor tender deadlines and ensure timely submission of all required documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in tendering and cost estimation for construction projects, preferably in Southeast Asia.
- Proven track record of successfully securing tenders for high-value projects (USD 1M+).
- Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., Candy, WinQS, or PlanSwift) and MS Excel (advanced level).
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC, JCT, or local standards) and tendering processes.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills in English (Bahasa Indonesia is a plus).
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Bali’s construction regulations and market conditions is highly advantageous.
