Responsibility
- Serve as the primary L2/L3 escalation point for production incidents, ensuring rapid resolution of critical system failures (APIs, databases, chatbot flows).
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for high-severity issues, documenting findings and implementing preventive measures to reduce recurrence.
- Collaborate with DevOps and Software Engineering teams to optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud-based infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) to maintain 99.9% uptime for core services.
- Develop and maintain runbooks, incident response playbooks, and operational documentation for TechOps processes.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks using scripting (Python, Bash) or IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible) to improve efficiency.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support for critical incidents as needed.
- Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge through internal workshops or technical deep dives.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in TechOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or DevOps roles, with a focus on production support.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP) in high-traffic environments.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems, scripting (Python, Bash), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing) and security best practices.
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and log analysis (ELK Stack, Splunk).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and version control (Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a structured approach to incident management (ITIL, SRE principles).
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal) for collaboration with global teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
