Amara Hotels & Resorts is currently seeking a diligent and skilled Senior Technician / Technician to join our dedicated Engineering team in the Central Region. In this vital role, you will be the backbone of our hotel's operational excellence, ensuring that all Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems function seamlessly to provide an unforgettable experience for our guests.
As part of our commitment to sustainability, you will play an active role in driving our Water & Energy Efficiency projects, helping us reduce our environmental footprint while maintaining the highest standards of luxury. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver who takes pride in maintaining property assets and ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, and event spaces are in pristine working condition at all times.
Responsibility
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of M&E systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building management systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guest rooms and function areas to ensure minimal downtime and high guest satisfaction.
- Execute repairs on building equipment and infrastructure with a focus on safety and compliance.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of energy and water conservation initiatives throughout the hotel.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance tasks when necessary.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records of all work performed in accordance with hotel standards.
- Participate in emergency response duties and on-call rotations as required by operational needs.
Qualifications
- NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in hotel or commercial building maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of M&E systems, building automation, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals.
- Commitment to workplace safety (WSH) regulations and procedures.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
- Valid electrical license (LEW) is an added advantage.
