Responsibility
- Lead and support NPI and HVM processes for optical transceiver products, ensuring smooth transition from prototyping to full-scale production.
- Develop, optimize, and validate manufacturing and testing procedures to meet stringent quality and performance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality assurance, and production, to resolve technical challenges and improve yield.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for manufacturing defects and implement corrective actions to enhance product reliability.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends, recommend process improvements, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on best practices in optical transceiver assembly and testing.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for manufacturing processes, test protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in optical communications to drive innovation within the team.
Qualifications
- Engineering Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, testing, or process engineering, preferably in the optical/photonics industry.
- Hands-on experience with optical transceiver assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean/six sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency in using test equipment such as optical spectrum analyzers, power meters, and bit error rate testers (BERT).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, IPC standards, or other relevant quality management systems is a plus.
