Responsibility
- Provide advanced technical support for Finastra’s financial software, specializing in RPGLE and CL programming languages.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system issues in IBM iSeries (AS/400) environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze root causes of technical problems and implement long-term solutions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including knowledge base articles and best practice guides.
- Act as a subject matter expert for customer escalations, providing timely and accurate resolutions.
- Conduct code reviews and performance tuning to optimize system efficiency and reliability.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 support for critical client systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and share expertise to enhance team capabilities in RPGLE and CL.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technical support or software development, with a focus on RPGLE and CL.
- Deep expertise in IBM iSeries (AS/400) environments, including system administration and troubleshooting.
- Strong proficiency in debugging, performance analysis, and code optimization for RPGLE applications.
- Experience with financial software systems or banking applications is a significant advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
- Proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required; additional languages are a plus.
