Responsibility
- Develop and implement tax strategies and policies to optimize the company’s financial position while ensuring full compliance with Indonesian and international tax regulations.
- Prepare, review, and file corporate tax returns, including VAT, income tax, and other statutory obligations, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Conduct tax audits and risk assessments to identify potential liabilities and recommend mitigating actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial processes and transactions align with tax-efficient practices.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and advise management on their implications for the business.
- Represent the company in tax authority inquiries, audits, and disputes, providing expert guidance and resolution.
- Provide strategic tax planning advice for mergers, acquisitions, and other business expansions.
- Train and mentor junior staff on tax compliance procedures and best practices.
Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification (e.g., Brevet A/B for Indonesian tax practitioners).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in tax advisory, compliance, or a related role, preferably in a multinational corporation or public accounting firm.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian tax laws (e.g., PPh, PPN, PPnBM) and international tax treaties.
- Proven experience with tax software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or local tax platforms).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia; additional languages are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
