Responsibility
- Prepare and file accurate tax returns (VAT, Withholding Tax, Income Tax, etc.) in compliance with Philippine and local regulations.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant with all statutory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits to identify potential tax risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with finance and legal teams to optimize tax strategies and minimize liabilities.
- Maintain organized records of tax documents, filings, and correspondence for audit purposes.
- Provide guidance to management on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and consultants to resolve tax-related inquiries.
- Develop and implement tax policies, procedures, and controls to enhance compliance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in tax compliance, preferably in the Philippines or a similar regulatory environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Philippine Tax Code, BIR regulations, and international tax principles.
- Proficient in tax software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or local tax platforms) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving tax landscapes.
- Experience in a multinational or remote work setting is advantageous.
