Responsibility
- Lead and oversee daily tax compliance operations for assigned markets, ensuring timely and accurate filing of tax returns, reports, and declarations.
- Monitor and interpret changes in local and international tax laws, regulations, and policies to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, Legal, and Operations) to align tax strategies with business objectives and mitigate risks.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of tax compliance workflows.
- Conduct thorough tax audits and reconciliations to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and ensure data integrity.
- Prepare and review tax documentation, including supporting schedules, for internal and external stakeholders.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and advisors to address inquiries and resolve compliance-related matters.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field; a Masterâs degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CTA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance, preferably in a multinational corporation or Big 4 accounting firm.
- In-depth knowledge of local and international tax regulations, including VAT, corporate income tax, and transfer pricing.
- Proven experience with tax software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) for compliance and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and apply them to business scenarios.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain tax concepts to non-technical audiences.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills, with a commitment to meeting deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills (e.g., Indonesian) are advantageous.
