Responsibility
- Prepare and review US individual and business tax returns (Federal, State, and Local) with precision and accuracy.
- Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in US tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Assist in tax planning and advisory services to optimize clients’ tax positions.
- Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure proper financial reporting and tax documentation.
- Identify and resolve tax discrepancies or issues through audits and reconciliations.
- Develop and implement tax-saving strategies for clients while ensuring full compliance.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and clients to address inquiries and provide clarifications.
- Maintain organized records of tax filings, payments, and correspondence for audit trails.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or EA certification is a plus.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience preparing US individual and business tax returns.
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., TurboTax, ProSeries, CCH Axcess, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of US tax codes, IRS regulations, and filing procedures.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with strong time-management skills.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks, Excel, and other financial tools.
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
