Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable computing infrastructures, including servers, storage, and virtualization platforms.
- Develop and enforce networking rules, security protocols, and access controls to safeguard systems and data.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network errors, performance bottlenecks, and system failures to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Collaborate with DevOps, security, and software engineering teams to integrate systems and streamline workflows.
- Monitor system performance, analyze metrics, and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Document infrastructure designs, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for knowledge sharing.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies (e.g., cloud computing, automation, AI-driven networking) and recommend adoption strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer, Network Engineer, or IT Infrastructure Specialist.
- Proficiency in Linux/Windows server administration, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, AWS Certified SysOps, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are a plus.
