Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, high-availability systems in cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and on-premise environments.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi).
- Optimize system performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and ensure SLA compliance for critical services.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems with applications, databases, and third-party services.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment and release processes.
- Monitor system health, proactively identify risks, and lead incident response for night-shift operations.
- Document system architectures, runbooks, and operational procedures for knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
- Expertise in Linux/Unix systems administration and scripting (Bash, Python, Go).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
- Strong knowledge of networking, load balancing, and security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a night-shift schedule.
