Responsibility
- Develop and execute data migration strategies for core banking systems, ensuring minimal downtime and zero data loss.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and cleansing to maintain accuracy and consistency across platforms.
- Design and implement automated scripts and tools for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
- Generate detailed reports and documentation for audit trails, compliance, and stakeholder updates.
- Collaborate with IT, finance, and business teams to identify data requirements and resolve migration-related issues.
- Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies for data migration challenges.
- Monitor post-migration performance and troubleshoot discrepancies to ensure system stability.
- Provide training and support to end-users on new data structures and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field; Masterâs degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data migration, ETL processes, or database management, preferably in banking or financial services.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other scripting languages for data manipulation and automation.
- Hands-on experience with data migration tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS) and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
- Strong understanding of data governance, compliance (e.g., GDPR, Basel III), and audit requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with core banking systems (e.g., Temenos, FIS, Finacle) is highly advantageous.
- Certifications in data management (CDMP), project management (PMP), or ITIL are a plus.
