Responsibility
- Design, implement, and manage VMware and Hyper-V virtualization environments to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Monitor and maintain virtual servers, storage, and networking infrastructure to support business operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to virtualization and cloud technologies.
- Develop and enforce security policies and best practices for virtualized environments to protect against vulnerabilities.
- Optimize resource allocation and capacity planning to enhance system efficiency and scalability.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) to improve operational efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in virtualization and cloud technologies to drive innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in system engineering with a focus on VMware, Hyper-V, and virtualization technologies.
- Proven expertise in server management, storage solutions, and networking within virtualized environments.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) for automation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or equivalent are highly desirable.
